Christmas is the occasion on which children are very delightful as they get new clothes and many other gifts. If you are thinking to gift your child something which is homemade and adorable too then just try this Christmas craft of snowman shaped hat. This Christmas idea is very cute looking and your children will love to wear it. The making is simple just follow the steps I am giving below.
Material Required-
- White fleece
- Two black beads or you can use goggle eyes
- Fabric marker or fabric paint
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Fiberfill
- Buttons- 3, any size but of same color
- Fibber glue
- White thread and needle
- Sewing machine
- Orange felt cut into a triangle shape of 1 or 1½ inch
- Pinking shears
- For scarf, colorful fleece of 24 X 1½ inch
How to make it-
- Fold the white fleece in half exactly such that the right ends are together.
- To get a pattern of snowman, place a tape roll of 4 inch diameter and a plate bigger then that, over the fleece and trace the snowman’s pattern with the help of pencil.
- Above 3 inch from the bottom, mark a point on each side. This will be the starting and ending points for sewing.
- Start stitching from one 3 inch mark along the traced shape and end it at the other mark. Trim the fleece along the stitched line leaving ½ inch distance in between. Do not stitch below the three inch marks.
- To finish the bottom edge of the hat you can use pinking hears.
- Turn out the hat to the right side.
- Now stitch the remaining three inches to the bottom and trim the extra fleece along with it. After trimming, turn up the brim. The hat is almost done with the structure.
- Now, to give the look, glue the goggle eyes on the head with the help of fabric glue. Draw mouth with the fabric pain or fabric marker.
- Glue the orange felt nose in place and leave it to dry.
- Stuff the snowman’s head with the fiberfill and close the neck by doing hand stitches.
- Now, take the strip of colorful fleece and tie a knot of it around the snowman’s neck.
- Glue the buttons on the body and leave it to dry.
The cute little hat is ready to wear.
