How to Make a Sock Snowman

If you are looking for cheap Christmas idea then here is one for you. Just try this Christmas craft of snowman. It is simple to make and the supplies are easily available and inexpensive. You can complete this Christmas craft within half an hour.

Material Required-

  1. Raw rice- ¾ cup full
  2. Child’s socks- plain white
  3. Tea bags
  4. One black pompom
  5. Orange foam or felt
  6. Black fine marker
  7. Rubber band
  8. Fiberfil
  9. Flannel or any other material’s scrap piece
  10. Blush
  11. Round buttons

How to make it-

  1. Take the sock and tea dye it for a country look. Dip the sock in the strained tea and leave it for ten minutes to soak the color. Take it out after 10 minutes and squeeze it. The sock gets the color of tea.
  2. Now, fill the toe part of the sock with the ¾ cup of raw rice. You an also use one cup polypellets to fill the sock’s toe.
  3. To make the body, just above the rice fill tie a rubber band around the sock.
  4. To make the head of the snowman, put the ball of Fiberfil in the other part of the sock and tie with the rubber band around the sock just above the Fiberfil portion.
  5. Now, to make the hat of the snowman, turn the remaining portion of the sock down partway over the head. To hide the hole on the top of the hat, glue a black pompom there.
  6. Take the fine black marker and make eyes and mouth of the snowman.
  7. For the nose, take a small triangular piece of orange foam or you can use orange paint also.
  8. Take blush and with the help of a q-tip make the snowman’s cheeks.
  9. Take three round buttons and glue them in a line vertically on the body. As an alternative, you can also use black marker to make the buttons.
  10. For the scarf, cut a piece out of flannel scrap and tie a knot of it around the neck of the snowman. Make sure the knot should be loose.

Your little sock snowman is ready for decoration.
